The brief was as following: "Create a short piece of motion graphics that accompanies the sound clip ‘Ambitious Cities’ by Kate Raworth, Nov 2020 (excerpt length: 1:08) from this year’s RSA ‘Moving Pictures’ brief."
I first looked into projection mapping, wanting to create an immersive experience of the text. For the location I explored the Natural History Museum in London due to its ties to nature, just like the audio.
I created a 3D model of a "city tree", with projection mapping still in mind, using the idea of balance between nature and urban living.
Further, I explored simpler type animations in a more urban environment - Beech Street is the UK's first zero emission street.
